ASD Optimization Protocol Tracker

4-phase implementation plan with weekly progress monitoring

ASD Optimization Protocol

How to Use This

How to Use This: Work through one phase at a time. Check off items as you complete them, and use the weekly tracking table to monitor changes. Expect the full protocol to take 12 weeks.

Start Here

Start with Phase 1 (sleep and diet basics). These changes are free and often produce the most noticeable improvements. Do not move to Phase 2 until Phase 1 is consistently in place.

Track your progress through the 4-phase protocol. Focus on one phase at a time. Rushing leads to overwhelm.

Phase 1: Foundation (Weeks 1-3)

Implemented consistent sleep schedule with visual bedtime routine
Started melatonin if sleep onset is delayed (discussed with pediatrician)

Phase 2: Test and Supplement (Weeks 4-8)

Blood work ordered: vitamin D, omega-3 index, zinc, magnesium, ferritin, B12, folate
Supplementing confirmed deficiencies

Phase 3: Gut Health (Weeks 6-12)

Introducing fermented foods (gradually, respecting sensory needs)
Increasing dietary fiber diversity

Phase 4: Environmental Detox (Ongoing)

Switched to organic for Dirty Dozen produce
Tested and filtered water

Important

Dietary changes and supplements should be discussed with your child's pediatrician, especially GFCF diet trials. Do not stop or modify prescribed medications without medical guidance.

Next Steps

Next Steps: After completing the 12-week protocol, compare your baseline and Week 12 scores. Share your tracking data with your child's care team to inform next steps and ongoing adjustments.
