The exposures that matter most during pregnancy — and what to do about them

Highest Priority: Avoid Completely

AlcoholNo safe amount during pregnancy. Crosses placenta directly.
Tobacco / nicotine productsIncluding vaping. Restricts blood flow to placenta.
